Lately my co-founder André and I have been exploring new ways of “traveling” in different forms and mediums. These days our minds are filled with a sense of slowness, acting responsibly, a desire for serendipitious experiences and new forms of escapism.
The other day as I was biking home, I found myself listening to music and lyrics I have never heard before. I had pressed random play on my Iphone and amazingly what played was a song about “traveling in the mind”.
Very proud to be listed as one of 100 Inspiring Women Travel Founders: “As travel and tourism goes through a dark spell, we feel it’s important to shine a light on leaders in our industry we can look to for hope and resilience.
We’re publishing this list of 100 women entrepreneurs in our community to recognize their incredible achievements in creating positive change in travel, and in our industry.”
We believe that a good metric for tourism is the social and economic impact on local communities. This also means tourism in your own home country, region and city. As many of us are likely to travel shorter distances these coming months we would like to encourage everyone to focus their attention inwards.
“There is a secret bond between slowness and memory, between speed and forgetting.
…the degree of slowness is directly proportional to the intensity of memory; the degree of speed is directly proportional to the intensity of forgetting.”

For the past few weeks we have been working on something really, really cool! Embedded fonts and and contents list – every book that is created with Travel Kollekt now has an auto-generated Contents list included in the first pages.
Since the birth of Travel Kollekt in 2016, we have been focused on our mission of building a tool and a new way to empower travellers towards a more responsible approach in tourism.
We’ve been working on something…It’s small, but very significant in books!
And we’re really excited that it will be launched soon.
“The art of curation isn’t about the individual pieces of content themselves but about what story they tell by being placed beside each other and what statement the context they create makes about culture and the world at large”
April 2019, Berlin: This month was special to us. Besides our roadtrip with the Next Media Accelerator in Berlin to present our company to Axel Springer. We received a very special feature about Travel Kollekt and our founder Louise in a very, very cool magazine – Business Punk, perhaps best described as The German version of “Fast Company” wow, we are humbled and proud!!!
Thanks for being patient. Welcome! Travel Kollekt is where travel planning and journalling is made super simple. We are busy building a new take on an information-based, personal publishing platform for travel research and inspiration gathering.
So let’s start from the beginning: Isn’t this a platform to collect travel information? What does sustainability have to do with this? Sustainability is not only a huge issue in tourism, it is also a core principle of Travel Kollekt, and it deserves to be argued for and explained why it is a central idea.
Once again we’ve compiled a list of articles, books & podcasts from people who seem to be equally concerned, critical and optimistic that we can create a world of tech and digital to do better… Many also emphasize the importance of
We give travellers complete ownership and authorship of their journeys by breaking down digital, social, and physical boundaries. We liberate content so that it is customizable and curatable while retaining the distinct experience of a book in hand.
